Well, in case anyone missed it, Federer just won the Aussie Open without losing a set. Unbelievable.

I wondered which is more of a rarity, going through a tournament without dropping a set or going through tournament without deposite a ball in a bunker at a British open?

Awesome little debate in Sports Illustrated this week. After reading both points of view, hands down still for Federer. Remember, golf is debatable as a sport. Tennis, no doubt, tests your physical side and mental side and one bad day means you're done for that tournament.

I'm not saying I don't believe it's a sport, but sports writers do debate it and have historically, so yes.

wow i did not realize that was still debated ... would have thought that with the new generation of players that debate would be over.

Damn. I was hoping Federer could overcome Nadal, but he just couldn't break his serve (1/14 in break point attempts, I think).
I disagree about what they were saying about the "changing of the guard." I mean, Nicklaus finished second in majors, what, 20 times? I just think that Nadal's game has matured and he is getting closer to Federer.
It's key to note that nobody else is approaching Federer besides Nadal. Well, maybe Novak Djokovic, but he went Sabbatini on us after he said Federer was beatable.

Tiger hands down!
Roger lost to Nadal in Wimbledon... and he as never won the French Open!!!
To be dominent you have to win all grand slams such as Tiger has won in every major..

Federer has a great chance to now complete the career grand slam and tie Sampras with 14 majors.
