Considering the losing, a very loyal, if not misguided, fan base. Funny how most families are torn apart by such loyalties. My father, a Leafs fan. Me, a Sens fan. My brother in law, a Leafs fan. His son, a Sens fan. Sens-Leafs games = WAR!

If the Habs had moved to Colorado, I would NOT be a fan. I can't imagine anything worse as a sports fan than to have your team ripped from your home and moved somewhere else. It's not like the Colisee wasn't filled either.
Anyway, my point is that it could be worse. In the post Ballard era, the last 15 years or so, the Leafs have been in 3 conference finals. They didn't win any, but they came close to the finals, especially in 93 (when the Habs would've smoked them anyway ). They've been competitive for the most part and are just in a down cycle. The introduction of the cap has hit them hard because they can't spend their way out of it, and they haven't adapted to that. I have no doubt that MLSE wants to win, they're spending BAGS of money to lose, they might as well spend it to win. Problem is they just haven't figured out the 'how' yet.

I think that the leafs will continue to suck until you start seeing empty seats at the ACC......what motivation does MLSE have to put a winning product on the ice?? They always sell out and the lemmings buy the loser gear like it's going out of style.
