My putter is at the studio now and they called to let me know they had to evacuate and that it'll take much longer than originally indicated.
"Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know."

The resto is done on their dime anyway because I complained enough to Titleist re: my newport and what I saw to be unreasonable wear on it (long story). So they are doing it all for free anyway so it's tough to be terrible picky considering I have a backup.

From my experience with the Scotty studio the service is as good as it gets. It is still amazing that they'd call all the clients with putters in the house under these circumstances!
Top notch!Life dinnae come wit gimmies so yuv got nae chance o' gitt'n any from me.

Imagine the agony that you'd be in if you had some ultra rare putter in the shop right now

The putters could be burnt to a crisp and scotty could call up hacker and tell him its a new finnish and hacker would be none the wiser. Scotty could even convince him to paying extra for the putter! Scott you are nut when it comes to your camerons!

Wow,
I have 3 putters in the studio and know a few other that have putters there.
I did not get a call and they did not either. I have been receiving emails from them as we are trying to work on a few putters ideas. They never mentioned anything about the fire, except to say thanks for my well wishes.
As to what he is worth..why does it matter??..I know he has a few of my bucks and will have more very soon.....

In 2002 I think there was an article that stated that they restrict normal OTR putter production to 110,000 units per year. That's probably increased since then, say it's up to 150K now. Titleist also produces a bunch of limited edition putters each year. This year there were 2007 Catalina Classics, 4,014 T10s and there will be another 500 Holiday and 750 My Girls. The normal OTR putters retail for $299US, the LEs for $450. Don't know what the wholesale cost is on those, and it would be your guess on the Titleist vs Cameron take, but that's a guesstimated retail value of $44.85M on the OTRs and another $3.27M on the LEs.
On top of that, there are his custom shop, boutique tour putter and merchandise operations. This year there will have been 7 2007 piece LE headcover releases and 1 500 piece release. That's 14,049 covers at $72/each, a gross of $1.01M. He also did clothing and putter accessorie releases that I will guesstimate at about half of that total.
Custom shop sales of restoration work as well as headcovers and grips are not known and haven't been release. I have heard rumours of 5,000 putters/month. Say the average purchase of services is $150, and that's another $9M/year.
The boutique putter market is completely unknown. This is a total WAG, but say 500 putters/year go to the distributors with a minimum retail price of $2500 all the way up to $10K (though there are probably only 10 or so of these per year) say an average around $3500 each retail, which is another $1.75M.
So from a retail price perspective, I'd guess that Cameron putters and paraphenalia are pulling in just north of $60M per year. My guess is he keeps most of the custom shop and boutique putter income, but only gets a small percentage of the OTR and LE putter revenue. Either way, I'm sure he's doing well.

Oh, tour players definitely get paid to use Scottys. Have no idea how much, but they definitely get paid to use them.

really? I was told they give no money to players for using their putters. I was told tiger is paid nothing to use his newport

Tiger doesn't get any money I don't think, could be wrong there too. But players definitely get paid to play Scottys on tour.

do you have a link to verify this? I've heard the opposite so I'm not sure which is right
