Great to finally get that WIN !!! Its been sooooooooooooooooo long................
It was not a pretty win, but Sens played fairly solid hockey.
The offense seemed to be clicking again, still a few defensive blunders though.
Emery played not bad. His lateral movement in the net seems to be "off". Notice he drifts all over the place, which was also evident on the late "wrap around" goal by the Panthers. Hopefully, the more he plays the timing/movement will come back.
Now on to Dallas..........!!!

Scott,
The rule is here:
http://www.nhl.com/rules/rule70.html
As long as there is no kicking motion, it is considered a deflection off of a player. It could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as a warning to others.

That was one heck of a fight (up until the head butt). I think Walker will get a couple of games, but I also sympathise with what Milbury was saying during the intermission - Don't fight with a visor on...it doesn't work. I much prefer it when both players unstrap their helmets before a fight, but fighting with a visor makes it way too tough on the other guy.

Can't believe we blew that game last night. Heatley seemed like a man on a mission. Damn Phillips, he's usually rock solid too.

Need some Cough Medicine Rick, there is a bad cold going around??
Oh yeah, and in case you haven't noticed, as of right now your beloved Sharks have 7 less points in the standings, and have scored 29 fewer goals than the Sens (while playing 1 more game I might add) so I'd be worrying about your boys as opposed to ours
..........especially given the massive production that you're getting out of your strong supporting cast like Marleau and Cheechoo

Uhhhhhhhh in case you have not noticed Scotty boy, the West is a bit tougher division than the East!
Don't you be worrying bout my West Coast team! I seem to recall a West Coast Team is currently holding onto the Stanley Cup
One thing we both agree on, the LEAFS SUCK and Marleau and Cheechoo are having a terrible season so far. But there is plenty of time left to turn that around.
Have a Merry Christmas! My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

Not sure if I'm willing to agree that the West is tougher than the East just yet but parody is abound in the league this year for sure.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to you and Yours Rick!!

JOE IS DA MAN!
Gifts? What are those? I am sure I wll get a gift but not likely any golf related ones. I have all I need in that category. I am going to buy an new amateur radio transceiver this week so that will be my gift. Trying to keep it under $1000 and I think I can do that.
MERRY CHRISTMAS

Apparently Mr. Emery has lost his patience with the Sens. They were saying on SportsNet tonight that he walked off the ice in the middle of practice when he found out the Gerber was starting tonight, swinging his stick and cursing. It appears that he can launch water bottles quite high up in the stands!
Me thinks this is going to start to become a distraction to the team.Proud member of the 2009 OG/TGN Ryder Cup Champions

So what are the bets Emery is traded or suspended soon. He showed up late for practice today and the coach was waiting for him at the players entrance to tell him to take the day off.
Alfredson called him out in an interview saying Gerber is our number 1 goalie and if Ray wants to go back in he is going to have to try harder.
I give him till February 1st at the latest unless he turns it around.Proud member of the 2009 OG/TGN Ryder Cup Champions

That was one wild game last night. Feel bad for anyone that left with 10 minutes left in the 3rd.

Man, the NHL better hurry up and make the nets bigger before we all get bored to death by this low scoring hockey.

The Sens are not looking very sharp. Their inability to play 3 periods of hockey is worrisome. That kind of psychological flaw can be fatal to any dreams of winning Lord Stanley's Cup. Here's hoping they wake up, and soon.
