1) When we played, we never talked about our musical likes and dislikes, but you have a very calm demeanor about Nat.
2) Because you knew to call it elusive, I believe you have done #2.
3) And perhaps you don't do well under pressure, I know I don't, so it is possible you have a poor intersectional record, but I bet not the worst.
So I'll say #1 is the lie. I have a feeling I'm wrong, but I choose 1."A life lived in fear of the new and the untried is not a life lived to its fullest." M.Pare 10/09/08

Geoff,
#1 is true. Used to play the trumpet in an inprovisational Jazz band & a concert band, and used t odo the rememberance day ceremonies. Also played classical guitar. Had a change of heart in OAC, and decided to persue computer programming.
#2 false. Thought this one might trick people. My best hole out was from 100 yards, and it was a fluke...I was in one of my 1st 10 games. Hit a nice tee shot to about 105 yards out, duffed it 5 yards, then jarred it for birdie lol. I have not holed out from more than 30 yards away since then (10 years ago!)
#3 true. I'm 2 for 12, and currently seeking an endorsement deal (i.e. pay me to join a club that you are competing against)NCGT Ryder Cup Team Green (06,07,08)

I drove it for a couple of summers and then traded back to my Dad for a Toyota Forerunner - I has just gotten married so I didn't need the "Chick Magnet" factor anymore
......and I did win 3 Provincial Jr. Men's curling championships back in the day
For the record, the only way that you're getting me to jump out of a plane is if I'm already dead

Okay, here is my 3:
1) Survived a live bombing run by Mig 21 jets.
2) Was approached to try out for junior professional soccer team.
3) Have visited 11 countries around the world so far.Proud member of the 2009 Ryder Cup winning team

1) I believe this, the MiGs were NOT know for their accuracy but rather for the ease in which a pilot could fly them.
2) I'm not sure what a Junior Professional soccer team is so I'll say this is the Lie!
3) There are lots and lots of countries in the world and if #1 was indeed correct it would stand to reason that you would have visited a number of countries when in the forces...

Wow, Richard, I like your version better than the real one. I think I’ll use it! It wasn’t my purse. I was just one of the people in the small crowd that formed when the chase ended. It was a year later when we were officially introduced to one another at a mutual friend’s party and months after that when we finally figured out we had seen each other before - on that day our paths crossed for the very first time.

I am not a military man. And yeah the MIGs were damned loud. They broke the sound barrier shortly after the bombing run. This was at the beginning of the Iran Iraq war and I lived in Abadan Iran. Iraq thought they could quickly cripple Iran and take most of its territory so they bomed my city first since it had the second largest oil refinery in the world at the time.
It was quite a surreal feeling, watching them flip over and drop their payload. I would not wish in on anyone.
#2 is true as well. I used to play defense when I was younger and was quite good. During a game of shinny on a back street a scout watched part of our game and invited a friend and I to try out for the junior soccer team to one of the local professional soccer teams. That was a mere 24 years ago though! I probably would not be able to dribble my way past a 5 year old now...
The lie would be #3. So far I have been to the U.S., Cuba, Dominican, Mexico, France, Greece, Iran, Japan and Indonesia. So including Canada, it makes 0 countries.

Some folks who know me personally going to think I'm full of it
1. I was on a 4 x 100 relay sprint team that beat another high school team which had Glenroy Gilbert and Ken Lablanc (two future Olympians).
2. My father came from the same hometown as Tiger Woods' mother.
3. I caused "Richard" to post 3 nasty pictures of himself on this forum.

O.K. I'll give it a try........1) I'm 51 years old and have never smoked or had a drink.........2) I had a double eagle on the first hole of a competition..........3) I have hit over 2 million golf balls in practice since I started playing golf.
-
10-26-2006 01:21 PM #58
I know you practice a lot, & I think I recall you not accepting my offer of a drink when we played, so I'm going with 2. (Not to say you couldn't do it, with all that practice!)

O.K. now the answers, 1) True, Nothing against smoking or drinking just never tried it.....2) true, Aug 22, 2004 one day before my birthday hit a 6 iron about 170 yards straight in the hole (didn't even touch the sides) on a 475 yard par five. Went 4 strokes up on opponite cause he bogied the hole.......3) False, I have only hit about 1.75 million golf balls in practice (O.K. it was kind of a sandbag question)
