Hey guys, i took advantage of the great deal at Rideau View.

I am 26 and in my first year of the Intermediate B group. The initiation fee is 3500 over 10 years with the 25% off.

I know about 5 members there and i am dyeing to get out there and play!!

no cart girls but there is a quarter way hut girl that sits between the 4th tee and the 14th tee and a halfway hut girl.

No moving cart girls, but the quarter-way hut always has someone there! Works great.

I will definitely be taking advantage of the Rivermead-Rideauview reciprocal that was started last year. Hopefully we get more than a couple foursomes per week this year.

im thinking of switching- dont know if I want to put another 18000km on my car this summer and its really close to home.

That seems like a lot to me for memebership.

I'm guessing you have never looked into any of the " A " Class private clubs in the city or province. The pricing structure is extremely competitive.

I have never played there, so I could not even consider it since I have no idea if I would like the course or not. They should have a day with open tee times for the public, who may be interested in a private course.

Looks like I will be a clublink member this year.......with my math its just a little more for Hautes Plains than Rideauview.....I am 37....I love Rideauview but the ability to play all the other Clublink courses (Muskoka's, TO, Tremblant) is swaying my vote.....

I played over 100 rounds last year (6 already this year ) and do not want to think about how much I spent.....long run should be cheaper for a flyer like me.....

I like being able to switch it up on the weekends and going somewhere else to play like EC or KL. If I lived close to Rideauview, I would join there, but since it's not easy for me to get there after work and is out of the way, it's not worth it for me. I would like to be a member there simply because of the caliber of players.

Ddooo Eeeettt, nothing beats club membership and Rideauview's practice facility is second to none in the area (their course however isn't quite first place )

I like the RV course quite a bit, especially the 18th hole for some reason.

Being a Rivermead guy I hope to make use of the reciprocal more this season. Adam - let's get out there.

I'd also seriously consider leaving Rivermead for Rideau View, but it's just too damn far. It literally takes me 10 minutes from the office and 12 from home to get over to Gatineau. I can't imagine giving that up to drive 30-40 minutes each way.

I'm 28 now, so by my math it would have saved me around $1500 a year, but quite simply that isn't enough to endure the drive.

Do they let members use it without having to pay extra? If so, that's huge for any serious golfers.

Yeah, they have a pretty cool setup for the Trackman. It's in a bay with big doors so they just open it up and you hit balls out onto the driving range.
