swing change - one plane?
This is my 3rd season of golf. My average score is 98 and not getting lower. I have been taking a lot of lessons and hitting the range 4-6 hours per week, in additon to 1 or 2 rounds per week, but can't find consistency with my swing. In fact, it seems to be getting worse. I find that I am really never on plane and this is obvious on video. I have been using the "modern" 2-plane swing, but out of desperation have been looking into the one-plane swing (moe norman style). I tried it on the range today with mixed results, but of course I don't really know if I'm doing it right. Don't know if it's relevent, but I am left-handed and swing right.
So here's my dillema:
Should I stick with my current swing and try to improve it, or make the leap to one-plane? Any pros/cons of either? Any one-plane teachers in Ottawa? Thanks.

Moe Norman had a SINGLE AXIS swing. While his left arm coincided with his shoulder plane at the top (single plane) there was a straight line down his right forearm and the club shaft making his swing distinctly SINGLE AXIS.
A 2 plane swing requires you to make compensations coming down because the lead arm is above the shoulder plane. This is usually in the form of excessive leg drive necessary to keep you from coming over the top. Most of us her have less talent than those we see on TV and we would all be more consistent if we had 1 plane swings, and consistency allows us to score better and lose fewer balls.
By all means work toward the so called "one plane" swing. Pat Ladouroute who works at Cedarhill, is one whom I would highly recommend.
