Sounds like a blast emerald. I just put my offer out for a foursome to members from here. Hopefully they are as interested as I am. Thanks for the heads up.

There will be some prize draws at the Registration night for balls, shirts, some hats and more. If you definitely plan on attending, try and send an email so that we can arrange for some free munchies, based on number of attendees.
Thanks

If you don't have a foursome but would like to play, we will be happy to put groups together.

emerald, if I have a foursome together and we show up on the 8th, we need $500 to register, correct? Just don't want to get the numbers wrong before I tell the guys. Thanks.

Well if you need a new putter with a cool see-thru grip with your name on it, want a nice shirt, a hat, some golf balls, a steak dinner and a chance at some raffle prizes, sign up anyways. It's still worth the entry fee. And just maybe you can get the day off to golf!!!

I'm not questioning the entry fee. I think its a great deal. I just want to know how much I need to collect from each guy, either $150 or $125. Sounds like a great day.

That's correct. $500 for your foursome and get some nachos and maybe win a prize while watching the Masters on the big screens before the hockey game.

I'll have to ask if the guys want to get together that night. If not, just one of us will stop by to pay the fee. Thanks for answering my questions.

The registration forms will ask for the 4 players names (or nicknames) for the putter grips. They will ask LH or RH and shirt size and colour (navy or white).
The names must be finalized by May15th to allow for custom work.
Thanks

Sweet, I need to find 3 guys willing to cough up the $125 in a couple weeks
Is there any charity involved? If there is I get paid 8 hours to take the day off

There is no charity involved. We decided to charge for a fun tournament with great prizes and keep the cost controlled.
We will have a 50/50 Draw for a local charity.

Thanks for clearing that up. I got info from a Montreal website. Changes have been made. Looks like Habs are here the 10th.
Thanks

Nope. Habs are here on the 6th and we're in Montreal on the 10th.
Not that it makes any difference to those wishing to get in on a great deal for a tournament.
Any idea how many foursome are interested already? Does the restaurant have the registration forms there now?

It will be a Shotgun start with a max of 36 foursomes. I already have 12 foursomes signed up. The restaurant doens't have the forms yet. Signs go up in the restaurant next week and they will have forms.

Got my foursome ready to go. I'll stop by the restaurant next week and fill out the forms. Any idea what their phone number is?

Signed up with Marty on Saturday. Looks to be an excellent tournament in the making!

Anyone hear if this tournament is in jeopardy?? A friend was at Cloverdale today and they told him the police were involved and that Marty hadn't signed a contract with them. Just called Georgetown and the mgr is supposed to call me back after 6 but the person I talked to said she thought there was problems. Hope we don't all lose our $125

I spoke with Gib Patterson and this horrific news is confirmed.
I am sorry to say there is no tournament.
-

I just talked to Sidney (bar mgr at Georgetown) who confirmed that the tourney's a no go. They're also out money that they gave for prizes. She did mention that there's supposed to be a 'package' arriving at the bar with cheques for everyone but it hasn't arrived yet!
If anyone has anything new to add please keep us informed.
