It's Aerating season

Played Mountain Creek on Thursday and got "surprised" at the course when we were checking in. They told us that 15 greens were punched, and it turned out that some of them had very LARGE punch holes, and NO SAND. Made for miserable chipping and putting.

aerating is a necessary evil, but green fee players should not have to pay full price for greens that are unplayable. Courses should do a better job informing their customers that the greens are going to be aerated. Either offer discounted prices or close the course down for a day or two. They are called Green fees for a reason. you are paying for playable greens. Eez, you should have requested a refund once you realized the greens were unplayable

Rockland aerating this next week

We will be Aerifying Greens and Top Dressing on Monday and Tuesday September 16th and 17th.

Front 9 will be closed on Monday and The Back 9 will be closed on Tuesday.

Aération have been done at the Rockland course every 3 weeks this year with small hole and sand spread after. They have been doing this process since June altering each nine hole every week. By doing this process I didn't hear we need the regular aeration done in September

Played Pakenham Friday Canyon-Island punched and sanded I was told. Played Lake twice,it had not been done yet.

Rockland is in pristine condition right now tee to green !!! Had not played there in a few years and well worth the drive.

Metcalfe is in excellent shape, no aeration (it was done about a month ago), but they are updated the irrigation system on the 18th hole so it is playing as a par 3 this week. You tee off about 160-170 yards in front of the green.

Loch March has been punched and sanded....very bumpy. fairways and tee boxes in good shape but unfortunately. LOTS of leaves

Stittsville is doing the fairways. Greens were probably done earlier so they were a bit bumpy but no visible mark.

Last day at Renfrew will be Sunday, 3 November.

There will be no aeration of the greens and the course is in great shape with two exceptions:

1. It is hard to keep up with the falling leaves on parts of some holes.

2. Bunkers are pick rake and place now that the student members of the greens crew are back in school.

Heritage has aerated greens, bumpy and slow.The rest of the course is good.
