Anyone played this season? How are the conditions?

I just played on Tuesday.

Even before the giant rain storm the fairways were super wet. It was a tournament and we were cart path only. I can't see how it would have dried out by now.

On a positive note, there were virtually no mosquitoes!

Just played Loch March today and I have mixed reviews...course was still very wet with cart path only for my playing partners. I walked and the fairways and rough were spongy and wet. The course is usually soft the majority of the time and I expected it to be damp with the recent rains we had...no surprises here. The fairways, tee boxes and greens were in nice shape as you would expect at Loch March, as was the friendly and exceptional service. What did stand out was the lack of upkeep of the areas around the rough, around the wooded areas and between holes as well as a lack of maintenance in the sand traps. My playing partners commented that the cart paths also required a lot of attention. It looked to me that the wooded areas have become a dumping ground for rocks, branches etc. Seems like they are cutting back all non essential maintenance costs. Before Golf North took over the course was in much better overall esthetic condition than it was today IMHO. Still a great test of golf but just not the same as it used to be.
