2023 golf season opening

It wont be too long now and hoping for an early start to the season.
Usually Prescott is in great shape. I'm thinking March 20th depending.
Anyone else care to guess?

I’d be surprised if any of the local private clubs are open for play before the end of April. My best guess is the range will open in late April, the course first week of May.

I'm thinking mid-April at the earliest. Temps look like they are still hovering around 0C for the next 2 weeks. That being said, I have no idea how much snow they have down Prescott way.

Andy, i believe i played the opener on April 6th also in Prescott

But on a sad note, i injured my shoulder really good this week at indoor golf. I have had several tendonitis, bursitis etc.. but nothing athst hurts like this. Seeing my physio in about an hour and hoping for good news

Well its a rotator cuff problem so my indoor golf is done for this year. Not sure when i will be able to hit the links but with this latest snowfall, i have to think later in April.

I've been playing a ton of indoor golf since the beginning of the pandemic. the good: handicap cut in half from 3 years ago. the bad: I now own two elbow braces and I have had to gear it way back. Smashing irons into the carpet is apparently bad for my elbow. Hope your shoulder gets better Marcos.

Anyone know if there’s way to see what’s open or when just south of the border? Hoping to get some rounds at the end of the month. Obviously I can call every course but hoping there’s a better way to see when their courses open.

Just back from NYC. Snow on the ground until just outside of Binghamton.

I checked a Syracuse webcam and there is still snow everywhere. After next week should be better

Watertown through Syracuse was the same as Brockville. We are still a month away for the low end courses and 6 weeks for the higher end properties.

The way this year has gone we will have a warmer but wetter spring so I doubt that we will be able to get out much in April/May.
Warm November, late first snow fall and January weather (cold first few weeks) was pushed to later Jan/Fe this year so pretty much everything will be dragged out. It will probably still be snowing in Apr. Hope I am wrong

Its not looking very promising so far buddy and to add to this, my buddy told me the Farmers Almanac is predicting a crappy summer, whatever that means LOL. Golfing in Canada, you gotta love it !!!!

Sounds like a road trip to Syracuse! I checked their webcams and they have little snow on the ground and similar highs all week so hoping for the best
