    Myrtle Beach

Will be going to Myrtle Beach for the first time this Spring and playing the following courses. Any thoughts, feedback, and comments welcome. TIA

MBN Kings North, Long Bay, Arrowhead Country Club, TPC Myrtle Beach, Pine Lakes Country Club, Blackmoor

All pretty solid courses there. I don't think you will be disappointed with any of those.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

Our group is also heading down to Myrtle in March. Havent been there for a while now (15yrs). Playing Thistle, rivers Edge, Prestwick, Shaftesbury Glen and Wachesaw East. Has anybody played these courses or have any insights other than what is available on their websites.

    Thanks

I've played all but Wachesaw East (but not recently so can't comment on conditions, etc.)

Rivers Edge (Palmer design) would be the best of them - it has the par 5 #11 that plays to the green on the peninsula and a number of holes play along the marshland which I think is quintessential MB. Thistle and Prestwick (a Pete Dye course) are both solid choices as is Shaftsbury Glen. I don't think you would be disappointed in and of those (unless conditions suck) from a design and quality perspective.

One course that was huge surprise for us in 2015 was Crow Creek. Gorgeous layout, fantastic staff at the time. Hope you get to play it if you run out of courses while there.

I see your playing TPC. That will probably be one of the finest courses. Enjoy !!!

First two pics are Crow Creek.
    Two others TPC

Thanks for the suggestion Marcos; we'll have a look once we're there. Those old bones can't play 36 holes everyday

River’sEdge my favourite course in the MB area. Not always in the best condition but still well worth it. Thistle is right up there for me as well. I also second Marcos’s rec for Crow Creek.
