Aerations on Courses Fall 2021
I thought I would start a thread where people could list courses that have starting aerating/sanding greens, etc. Nothing worse than showing up to play a course where the greens are all punched, so I thought people could check here first before heading out.

Champlain has started with the tee boxes. Not sure when the greens will be done.

Just over a week ago we went to Dragonfly,no mention on website..so lo and behold the back 9 were dreadfully aerated, more stone than sand..and last week I called Pakenham to get an update, girl said she had no idea if aeration was done...unbelievable

Pakenham was not done as of this past Friday.I believe they have a member tournament on the 25th so don't anticipate them being done before that. They're in great shape...minus the unrepaired ball marks but that seems to be a thing at several courses I've played this year.

Played Pakenham yesterday Sept 29 - CONFIRMED: Fairway & Greens Excellent Fall Conditions - Tee Boxes are messy as expected when punched and top dressed. Thank you to the staff for honesty and integrity on phone prior to booking when I called to ask about conditions. MGR was very forthcoming said GREENS were small needle punched and top dressed on Monday Sept 20 prior to the big rain 3 day rain fall (says running 10 on the meter). Also said ALL TEE BOXES were large hole punch and top dressed on Monday Sept 27.

Played South-East yesterday. South is in excellent shape, fairways and greens appear to have recovered. I don't see any punched mark on the greens.
East's greens still show some small punch holes but very puttable.
Overall the course is in excellent shape for this time of the year.

[QUOTE=Morgan585;573396]Any new updates on aerated courses as of October 21 for the Ottawa area and Quebec side?
By far the best course we played recently and probably this season is the Falcon in Hudson, Qc.; what a top quality course, probably better than any private course or Club Link operation in the Ottawa region.
I agree with one exception, played there twice august and september, the greens could be faster, a little slow for my taste.

[QUOTE=Kak;573397] Not a chance that Falcon is in better shape than all the private courses in Ottawa. It might be better than some - but keep in mind Hunt is top 8 in Canada for course conditions. I’ve played courses that have better layouts and I’ve played courses more scenic and also more fun, but in terms of condition the only other courses I’ve played in Canada that are as good as Weston (just a notch below) and Hamilton (just a notch above). We are very lucky to have amazing courses in the city and at up to half the price of what people are paying in Toronto.

The Majority of greens at Hawkesbury were punched as of last weekend. there were about 4 or 5 that were not punched. The ones that were were obviously bumpy, course overall was in very good shape.
