It surprises me as well that this resource is not utilized a lot more. I am also on Toronto Golf Nuts and that website gets a lot of traffic. This is a very good site and could get a lot better with more input from the Ottawa golfing community, especially from the golf course owners and operators themselves.

Hi Guys. Long time no post to the forum.

As you may or may not know, I founded the site in 1996, ran it until 2020, and then retired. I have not been by the forums for some time, but I am very happy to see how active it still is here. Ottawa is a fraction of the size of Toronto so comparing it to TGN isn't really fair. This group still has many of the old familiar people active. It makes me very, very happy to see that.

I loved the rules group. Even got certified as an official, but preferred to play over watching others. This rules group was a great place to keep abrest of situations that came up. I hope it picks up when the season gets going.

Anyway, I wish I could join you folks on the fairways but some injuries have nixed that possibility.

I check the site often daily. Mostly classifieds although I am not really looking for anything specific. I reply when I feel I have something to offer but often look here for Course Conditions and openings and closings.

Unfortunately like others have said comparing to TGN is like apples vs oranges
