Does anyone know well about PINEVIEW course ?
Hi golfers.
I had question about local rule on Pineview G.C
On 17th hole at Championchip course. Rightside had spot that I was not sure about
I played yesterday at the course and none of the stakes were there.
So may be other members here would remember if this spot that I am about to ask is Hazard staked area or should I consider it as lost ball
I have attached photo as well. Little red dot beside the green had only one red stake, and my tee-shot went into the spot where I put red line on...
If anyone have idea what I should consider that spot as ?
Thank you

That seems odd. It has been many years since I played the course but I don't remember anything resembling a water hazard in that area.
That being said, I can see from the picture where some long hitters might intentionally play in that direction to cut the corner and only have a short wedge shot into the green - which would be very dangerous for the group behind them playing the 16th hole. So maybe some kind of internal out-of-bounds rule or hazard designation may be appropriate to discourage players from trying that shot.

The red stake probably marked a water value in the fescue. This is not a hazard.
This is not the Pine View you remember from years gone by. Come back and see what we have done and what we have in store for the future - www.pineview.com

There is no real hazard on the right side of 17 other than hitting in to the tree. Just played there a week ago and don't recall seeing anything different in that area. Now in the area of 10 and 14, there is the new drainage pond, but that's another discussion...

I just play it as rough, if I happen to go inside the red circle...
