Anyone else read up on this Super League? Saudi Arabia sponsored and would pay the best players in the world a crap load of cash to play. The PGA and The European Tour have both said that any players joining this league would be banned from playing on tour.

It is interesting to hear the different responses from the players. From "No, I am happy with the PGA tour - it has been good to me etc." to the "Why would I not listen to an offer and make an informed decision"....

To me though it sounds a lot like a fleeting "TV special" kind of opportunity which might make a big splash for a season, and then die off quickly.....

Soccer super league failed, any league competing with NFL in the US has failed, golf super league will fail.

Some "have beens" and "also rans" may take this up , but they need some big names to kick it off , I doubt if it will happen

Many great players in USA have no status on PGA tour. Young players like Zalatoris might take up this sort of offer.

Not sure that is their target golfer. Aren't they only after the top 20 types? Certainly they are not in it for the cash they are offering to the marquee players.

Not sure top players would want the hassle of travelling that far for a bunch of events. 15+hr flights each way....
