At least, we are not the only ones saying it. Doug Ford must resign

Guess, I should be specific - I signed the "Let us golf in Ontario" petition. Not thinking anyone is resigning anytime soon, but Doug will certainly have his hands full come next election cycle .....

This is exhausting
Don't you find this chatter to be exhausting!!!!!
Not only do I read it, I have to moderate it... and now would be the best time for everyone in the community to give your minds a rest.
Practice your swing instead of taking a swing at an OttawaGolf Forum member.
And that said, if you post something, be sure you really want to post it because it opens you up to scrutiny and that's not why you were invited here. As it appears to be the same few (for years) that throw comments out there to see who bites, then everyone gets to read about it.
Stop telling your fellow golfers what wrong with their comments and offer something to help them. Something positive that could really make a difference.
That's all I got.
Hope you signed up for the 100 Golf Gloves we're giving away today!

Mike closing a thread and telling people to stop ranting is not going to achieve anything. Let members express their frustration. If you can’t handle being a moderator can move over.

He’s not the owner. This is a public forum not a personal forum or a society of mutual adoration.

I have been a member (as have all of us) of many different forums and have seen many varying styles. I contribute when I think I have something to say - I try to avoid fanning the flames if someone is obviously trolling for a fight. Unmoderated sites (and we have all seen them) descend into chaos with folks attacking each other at every turn. Not unsurprisingly I rarely if ever view these sites. Others maintain such a close hold on discussions that even inadvertently one can contravene the rules and get a cyber-slap. Rarely go to those sites anymore either.
In my opinion (and that is all it is) I find that the owners and moderators of Ottawa Golf strike a very good balance of "free speech" vs maintaining decorum and courtesy. I come here regularly. I contribute when I have input which I think would add to the discussion or ask a question when I have one. I also value the opportunity to use the marketplace and have bought and sold many items over the years.
From my part - to Mike and all the moderators - Well done and keep it up. Your efforts are appreciated and I suspect well supported by the majority of folks here. My two cents.

Well said Jason. Mike does a great job of moderating this site and allowing us to express our opinions and thoughts. It is unfortunate during this difficult time we are forced to do what is NOT the norm as we know it. This pandemic will change how we do business and our freedoms in the world moving forward. Golf will open sooner than later as vaccines roll out and numbers drop in Ontario.

Like the previous two comments I think Mike has been fairly open about allowing comments that may be a little political in nature, but when it comes to bashing member directly all it shows is immaturity on the posters behalf. If you are going to post, use the preview option beforehand and save some embarrassment--please
Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

He said nothing about outdoor activities and not one reporter asked a question about it.

They might still announce something later to save face and not being questioned by the reporters
