Easter Weekend - Course Open
Will a course be open for Easter Weekend...hmmm
Prescott? Calabogie?

Usually Prescott opens earlier than the courses around Ottawa due to the climate being a bit warmer near the St-Lawrence. I am also hoping for early opening date.

I agree Marco, Mapleview in my end is usually a pretty early start too.

And it was able to stay in good shape right through the dry spell we had last summer. THe best thing is their replay for $10 and they throw in the cart!!!

A course opening by Easter weekend is looking very promising...snow is melting fast.

On their website it says Resort opens on April 1st.
Further thought, I may be reading too much into it 😬

I was in Kingston last Saturday and there is very if any snow so i think soon is possible. If you are really wanting to play check out the course in Crooked Creek near Athens, they were open very late into December and fairly flat so snow melts quickly. They are predicting opening March 24th

I have heard the same, Prescott April 8th (thats from a member there).
I wouldn't be surprised to see Maple View opened by then too.

Prescott and Mapleview are traditionally the early ones and they are usually in decent shape when they open.
Casselview and Nation are usually a week later. Casselview traditionally has excellent greens when they open (considering the time of year) but soggy fairways. Nation is pretty decent but there will often be snow if you go off the fairways into the rough.
My course (Metcalfe) is slated to open April 21st but has hinted that they will probably open earlier (I'm guessing around the 15th). It won't be long now!

Iroquois Open Mon Mar 22
Hi All :
Iroquois golf club is opening tomorrow. Walking only, due to the wetness.
I was a member there last year, and am guessing it must be pretty wet if they aren't allowing power carts.
Nonetheless, somewhere to play for those who are able.

Vaccine
Amazing how seamless the vaccine booking was. Twenty-five minute wait on computer and all set for a jab next Monday. While waiting checked my Fantasy Golf and found I had won a Last Minute membership. Start of a good day !
