P3ProSwing basically closed
As many of you may know, I was the Operations Manager at Sports Vision Technology, maker of the P3ProSwing.
On 1/3/2019, we had a meeting where the owner announced he was closing the company on 1/25/2019 for good. He did not want any notification to the customer until it was announced there. There was to be announcement on the website on that date. However, we had a $6500 order awaiting shipment. He decided to ship that order without notifying the customer of the closing announcement. Thus, after consulting his lawyer, realized that it would not be in his best interest to fully close until it was at least 30 Days after that order shipped. Thus, P3 still has phone lines active. They have no units to sell, no grass tops to install and no one capable of Technical Support. They have moved the prior Sales Manager to their sister company and he is replying to any voice messages/email messages that he chooses to answer.
So there will be no future tournaments setup, software fixes or real support. The company is basically only open to prevent any lawsuit against the owner.
Best of luck with your P3. It will always work as it did on the last day of the company.

I'm sure the owner would be willing to listen to offers as I personally prepared all the software packages and stuff so that it could be sold. You can call 207-824-7401 for assistance with that.

Thanks and I was glad to provide service and a FUNCTIONAL P3 Live experience. It's a shame to see it end as the product was solid, just old. With a good owner, proper funding and a good engineer - it could have been something exceptional.

I owned a P3proswing a few years ago. I liked it a lot. My son has it now. As it turns out, I still have an old system backup that I did not delete for some reason and it has the P3proswing files including 7 GB of course files. I'll be glad to share if we can determine how best to transfer them. I don't have all of the courses, just 34.

YES! The software is great. I would tweak the board a bit. smaller LED lights, narrowing the gap. I'd remove the hole for tees and use Birtee. I'd have course creator program or license from Greg Norman Golf course design. (same program that TGC2019 uses). Wouldnt take long to have library of courses if the players create them...
Anyways, if anyone interested in buying the old company P3Proswing...let's chat...
p.s. having tried every simulator out there...i believe infrared is way to go to keep simulators package under $2000

Or if you're simply looking for more information before purchasing. You may not get all the `actual` information from the owner.

Yes i am!
After trying different simulators i think infrared is best for simulators under $2000.
I would upgrade graphics to 1080 minimum and have TGC2019 if cheap or other software to have users create their own courses.
Also the board needs bit tweaking as well, smaller LED lights, wider entry/exit/impact row, etc

I tried to buy P3Proswing and revive it.
Whoever has it want about $20K, but the problem is that some people have copyrights, agreements, royalty, etc...
So best thing i would do is go from scratch making similar board and software vs trying to get hold of all the people required to buy everything as a package.
I do have 115 or so courses if anyone wants to buy copy of them. Shipped on memory stick.

If anyone is looking for courses for free, let me know. I have a few from a generous member on this forum. You may have a course I don't have so let's share!

About Courses
Hi folks,
Just an FYI on P3 Courses... If you have it on your computer (in the correct folder) it will show up and be available to play. There is no restrictions on the files. So share and enjoy away. The old days of the dongle were long gone before the company closed.

@chasiv - do you know if the camera license is free to unlock now somehow? Or forever restricted to the paid upgrade? 😂

Camera License? If I remember correctly, the license requirement for Video Capture was removed long before the business closed. If you have the last versions release, it should work without it.
