There are no stupid question
So here's mine.

Thanks but it must be different for a iPad. Click on thumbnail no problem but still no box or a delete options. I’ve had pictures there for years and never had any success in deleting. Any other tips.

Ok on the iPad
Try going to desktop version
You will have to change to desktop version every time you delete a page
Of attachments

You have to open the thread and delete the attachment from the thread itself.
If you have closed the your thread, open it , then delete the attachments and then close it
Here is what you will need to do
- Click on Inbox and under Miscellaneous, click on Attachments, it will show a list of attachments that you have uploaded with your posts.
- Click on the post and under Administrative pick-list (top right of the post beside Thread Tool pick-list), select to Open Thread and select to proceed. This will reopen the thread if you have closed it
- Find the post in that thread that you had attached the pictures. Click on Edit Post then Click on Go Advanced (bottom left of the post).
- Scroll down and Click on Attachment Management and Remove the pictures in there
-Save changes and go back to the Thread to Close it under Administrative pick-list
It is tedious if you want to do it...by all mean

If you just don't want to see the previous uploaded attachments when you try to attach something (by clicking on the paper clip icon), then go under your account setting and turn off Enhanced Attachment Uploading (set to off).
