OttawaGolf is under new management
Hello Ottawa Golfers!
As many of you know I founded OttawaGolf.com back in 1996, when the internet was still quite young, My how times have changed. It is amazing to me that 23 years have really gone by.
Today I am excited to announce that OttawaGolf.com has a new owner and I am retiring after a very enjoyable time working with the Ottawa golfing community. I have made many friends and have met far too many wonderful people to count through my experience with this site, and I firmly believe what Harvey Penik said... "If you play golf you are my friend"
The new owner of OttawaGolf.com is Mr. Mike Raganold. Mike can be reached at:
Mike@OttawaGolf.com
Ottawa Golf Inc.
521-900 Greenbank Road
Ottawa, ON K2J 4P6
613-799-4367
I will still be around. I'm not dead yet I'll be on the forum and of course available to assist with the transition to the new owner, so feel free to reach out to me if needed.
Happy Golfing!

Dan all the best and thank you for your hard work in managing the site. Over the past 15 years I have learned more about golf, shared opinions, had some good laughs and spent way too much coin on buying used clubs! Good luck to Mike, you have inherited a passionate group of golf fanatics.

So happy for you Dan, I am sure you will be a poster quite often, just don't forget the rules, I would hate to have to report you to a moderator!!!

Don't worry about my behavior... I do my trolling elsewhere lol. Oh and I still wield the ban hammer here so don't be going rogue, thinking the rules no longer apply.

congrats Dan and enjoy the retirement. I've met a lot of great people on here and I think I have been on here from near the start. Time certainly has flown by.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

What seemed most appropriate for me to say not all that long ago I will copy here again with a few changes to suit...
Thanks to 'Dan' of Ottawa Golf.
I wanted take the opportunity to thank Ottawa Golf for its presence in the golf community. I rely on this Forum and the people on it for allowing me access to golf insight, opinions and gear, oh the gear!
Not long ago we all realized how close we came to a cathartic experience with the threat of our communal loss of all that is Ottawa Golf (with the server issues that had held us captive). And as I'd mentioned then, had the worst happened, and had the loss of the history of Ottawa Golf's memory vanished, I know all would have started to rebuild this great overture that is the community on Ottawa Golf.
Thank you all, thank also to the fine group of moderators, and 'especially' to Dan 'today', many many thanks.
