Best Handheld GPS Unit
Looking at the Garmin G8 - wondering if anyone had opinions or recommendations?
Thanks,
Gerry

I bought the G7 because the G8 was more expensive and I wasn't sure I needed the extra features. I went with a G7 but should have gone with the G8. It is very accurate and haven't had any difficulty finding courses. I used to have a Skycaddie but the fees were high because I golf in the US occasionally.

Get a Golfbuddy, best one out there. The Wotld Platinum is good and u can get one for under $150 used, no fees. I have the PT4 with a large screen for my old eyes and all the features

I've had a G6 for several years and am very happy with it. They don't sell it anymore so if it were to die I'd almost certainly get a G8.
Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

Thanks guys - GT actually carried the G6 still so I picked one up and gave it a go. I like it a lot and it was 1/2 the price of the G8 at 250.
