Any GC2-T owners?
I like mine but it's "ball view" seems so much smaller than the regular GC2. It seems the area is 2"x2" and it's getting annoying. Any reason it would be smaller than the ball zone on the normal unit?

Because the cameras are a lot closer to the ground. So, if the viewing angle is the same - the field of view will be smaller.

I think this issue was noted when it was first released.

So raise the level of the unit and I should be good?

I'm curious, why did you buy the gc2t and not regular gc2. Aren't they almost the same?

Was able to get a really good deal on a used GC2-T. Trust me I would've much rather had the normal unit but couldn't pass up the price.

Whats the cost of a gc2? Just the monitor and does it hook up to my computer and projector? Is it just for practice range and club fitting etc??? Or does it have courses too to play on it. And can it be substituted for a vlcam?? Then integrated with TGC?? Thanks.

MT, here's the deal. I sold my P3 lost money on it. Bought the protee with TGC only for 3K. It does not have a practice mode. And it more for playing golf than for practice. Im waiting for it to come and I was going to set it up. I see that gc2 is a much easier set up. Kind of plug in and go. However is it only for club data? Or does it have courses to play as welL besidee just a range. Is it more than 3k? If so I'll stick with the protee because I'm already tapped out. Thanks

The GC2 is a launch monitor. It measures only ball data such as ball speed, launch angle. It does not measure the club. It cost about $7000. It doesn't come with anything. No software.

Ok cool thanks MT. I can rest easy now. I know you have the protee with TGC from other posts I've read and you seem pretty happy with it. So I'm ready to give it a go when it comes in this week..

I wish I could get that but out of budget for me. I did not get the protee 2.0 software. Just the protee with TGC the lights and the vertical launch camera. Its been rumored that tgc is coming out with a practice mode with a range within the next few updates. If so then there's no need to spend the extra 795 for the 2.0 protee software. But if not then I'm gonna need to get the upgrade because I practice on it as much as I play..

There are ranges already currently available in TGC.
The "range" features that people are waiting for TGC update are for displaying multiple shot tracers, displaying club/shot averages...other parameters. Things you might normally see in different simulator software practice modes.
You can currently just go to a range and hit balls in TGC though. I realize it's confusing to someone who hasn't read all the posts or been in the "game" for a while.
