    David Feherty classics

A few choice Dave Feherty quotes are below. If you watch golf on TV, he's often an announcer with a distinct Northern Ireland accent and a colorful way of putting things, . . . so to speak.

    Feherty Quotes:

"Fortunately, Rory McIlroy is 22 years old so his right wrist should be the strongest muscle in his body."

"That ball is so far left, Lassie couldn't find it if it was wrapped in bacon."

Jim Furyk's swing "looks like an octopus falling out of a tree."

"That was a great shot - if they'd have put the pin there today."

"Watching Phil Mickelson play golf is like watching a drunk chasing a balloon near the edge of a cliff."

"That green appears smaller than a Pygmie's nipple".

Commenting on John Daly's pants: "They're why the Hubble telescope is pointed away from the earth."
On Jim Furyk's swing: "It looks like a man trying to kill a snake in a phone booth"
Also on Jim Furyk's swing: "It looks like an octopus falling out of a tree"
"That one is so far right Michael Moore could make a documentary about it."
Describing Tommy Gainey's grip: "They look like two lobsters trying to mate."
At the Tavistock Cup: "I am sorry Nick Faldo couldn't be here this week. He is attending the birth of his next wife."
At the Bridgestone, McCord commented "Does anyone wear a shirt tighter than Ishikawa?" and other announcer's added names "Villegas, Charles Howell III...." Feherty added: "Sometimes Phil does."
Commenting about VJ Singh's legendary practice sessions: "He's hit more balls than Elton John's chin"
After eating some spicy food: "There will be some yodeling going on when this re-enters the atmosphere"
"Only one man in a thousand is a leader of men...
the other 999 follow women." - Groucho Marx

Last night at NAC he told one joke with Tiger, walking down the fairway between shots:
Tiger asked him what do you call a black guy flying a plane?
    Feherty replied I don't know
Tiger said a pilot your F#%^**# racist
