Boundary fence
Thanks folks for answering my rules questions.
It really helps.
So a boundary fence has a cart path running right beside it.
A player hits a tee shot that results in the ball resting between the fence and the cart path.
The player's stance is on the cart path. Their swing is inhibited by the femce.
The player says they get relief from the fence because they are standing on the cart path.
What is the ruling.

He may not take relief if (a) interference by the boundary fence makes the stroke clearly impracticable. However, if it is possible for the player to make a reasonable stroke at the ball he may take relief. This may include playing away from the hole or a righty playing left handed.

Good question. We have a similar situation at our course. Since the fence is also the OB line we are supposedly not allowed any relief even though you would be standing on the cart path.
