The Spring Opening Calendar Is NOW UP
The Spring Openings Calendar is now up so check it regularly, and remember, all dates on the calendar are tentative and subject to weather conditions so be sure to call ahead. The calendar will be updated daily until all of the local courses are open.

Cool, nice to see. I hope more courses are open after I am back in Ottawa on the 18th. I am getting hitched in Vegas on the 7th and I hope to get a few games in.

YIPPEE----maybe if I drive real fast I can make the first tee-time---leaving central Florida Wednesday morning. I played my last game this morning and I am shaking so bad, my wife may have to drive all the way home.
Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

Ambitious dates for sure. I drove by Hylands yesterday and it is still covered by a lot of snow. Same for Casselview today. A week to 2 weeks doesn't seem likely.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

Is this some cruel April Fool's Day joke, Dan? Do these courses give complimentary snowshoes with the round?

I think it's going to be a dry spring, comparatively. All we need is some warmer weather.

No, but, in checking the "Historical Weather" on the Environment Canada website, last year at this time we had 30 cm of snow on the ground where, as of yesterday, it says we have 4 cm. Yes, snow depth varies from place to place locally, but at least it's a positive sign. My first game last year was April 21 so hopefully, golf is not to far away.

Thanks Lyle for the "reality" check. Our first game for the last 2 years has been April 18th in Presscot. Hoping for same this year.

I just checked the Historical Weather for snow on the ground and we have "0" cm while you have 67 cm. However, that is at out airport but as you move outside the city, temps are cooler and there is a lot more snow. I walked our course on Saturday and it is mostly snow covered with as much as 18 cm is drifted area but a few greens were exposed. I also walked the Mississippi GC on Sunday, a mere 15 minutes away from here, and about 95% of their snow is gone. Typically around here, a course like Prescott GC and also Mapleview in Perth, ON, about an hours drive and where they get less snow, will open soon, whereas our course, just west of the Canadian Tire Centre, will be about two weeks later.
I sympathize with you guys and all the snow that you have had this winter, but when you finally get a chance to play, you will appreciate it even more.

ya the snow is really hanging on, but it's not that wet and this week should take care of the rest of the snow. Sunday and Monday are looking warm. My money says they will be open on Sunday.
