Cage Size
I am setting up a simulator in a room with vaulted ceilings. Plenty of room to swing if I stand off center but regarding the cage, I could do either 10 x 9 or 8.5 x 10. Assuming I have a 5’ depth, which dimension is preferred? This would be a right hand setup only.
I assume the extra width is better (so 10 x 9) but is there any issue with hitting the top of the cage on your swing? I could always stand back far enough to clear the cage but I would not want to be too far back for high degree wedge shots.
Also, is 5’ of depth a good amount; too much? Thanks as always.

I am using The Return Net and the 8' height is more than sufficient for the lob wedge.
I have a 5' mat and I place it maybe 18" off the edge of the net for the longer irons and driver to completely clear the net when I use the driver. You should be good with 8' width. You might want to "insulate" all hard structures with air condition insulation foam or pool noodle just in case you shank a rogue shot off to the structure.

Yes, bigger is better, if you have the space and headroom. that is a good size for my pet gorilla LOL..
