Club Cameron
So I finally decided to sign up for Club Cameron this weekend.
I sort of have a beef already.
I received and email for the US Open new releases in the shop. I instantly clicked on the link. All items except the dozen golf balls, golf shirt, and blade style head cover were sold out.
I checked out his Twitter, and I received the email at the same time as the Twitter went out.
What REALLY annoyed me. Was that five minutes after I visited the store, I'd say 50 items popped up on eBay for sale, at $50-$100 more than the release.
FML!!
Is this a common occurrence?

There is definitely a learning curve with Club Cameron. The best way to not miss out on a release is to check the speculation thread on TCC, people are constantly refreshing the Cameron store and once the stuff is up, you'll get a bunch of people posting that the release is up. That said, usually the tweet goes out the instant things go up. The email is way less reliable. Finally, you need to check out immediately once you get your stuff in the cart. The limited stuff sells out quickly.

Gotta be quick. I got the tweet and signed in right away. All items where still available but I passed on everything. I didn't need Stars and Stripes underwear.

It's kind of hidden. There is a speculation thread for each release, and because they were kind of dominating the general Scotty Cameron forum, they added a child board to contain them. The board also has some reference threads to show you each of the releases through the years, which can be handy.
Here's the link.

To answer your first question, yes that is a regular occurrence. You will learn when the releases typically drop...plan not to be away from a computer, tablet, etc. If there is something from the release you REALLY want, you can wait (at least 30 days a la TCC rules) and you should be able to get it for a reasonable markup.
