Refinished/Recycled Golf Balls
So quite a long time ago, I ordered some "MINT" golf balls from a very popular online company. I had no issues whatsoever.
This year, a friend of mine ordered some Callaway Hex Chrome balls from this same company.
He's used roughly ten balls from this order, and they cut very easily. In fact, I was able to peel away the cover off the core of the ball VERY easily. Almost like peeling an orange. This has been the case for possibly one in three of this order.
My question is...What exactly is "refinishing"? And has anyone every had any issues with these?
I told my buddy I would ask on here, because I know there are a bunch of members who have ordered balls in this form.
Personally, I buy balls from our Pro Shop to support them. So I have no experience except the aforementioned 8 or so years ago.
Thanks for any comments.

I have bought used golf balls in Mint and Grade A quality. I would never buy refinished balls, you never know what brand ball was actually underneath the refinish and every refinished ball i have seen looks nothing like the real thing and the covers usually look pretty crappy quality.
Obviously you're not a golfer.
