Is this a good price for used gc2 with software
Hey guys there is somebody selling a used to GC 2 on eBay for $8000. Does this look like a decent price it comes with the software when 22 courses. The only problem is the software CDs do not come in this price. The software is provided on a USB stick. It does however come with the USB dongle.is there any way for site would send a replacement if I made the purchase. Let me know what do you think the price seems kind of high to me from looking at previously sold eBay auctions.

Seems a little high to me based off of some other threads that I have read here (check out the ones that post on the fake ebay ad, it was a copy of a previously closed legite transaction and should give you a good idea on pricing) and also tough when you don't get the actual CD's. See other post as well on CG2 FSX software where the person looking at buying would have to pay full price to upgrade to the new software rather than the $1k upgrade fee. I believe given the upgrade costing to FSX that a negotiated discount should be considered.
Also, please pay attention to the wording of this listing to the one that was previously id'd as being false as the wording of this one sounds very similar.

What is the seller feedback? 0 feedback is a no go pretty much no matter what.

I agree that the auction looks legit. Aside that the software aspect seems weird.
If it were my money, I'd pass. You can clearly tell from the pics that the unit took a direct high speed shank impact. That protective cradle looks to have done its job, but it's obvious what happened. I actually applaud the seller for including those pics. Most would scrap the cradle and pretend nothing happened.

I also like the part about spending 8k and needing to super glue it back together. Sorry, sounds like someone is trying to offload his problems via eBay where he has a little protection by downplaying these issues.

Ya guess you're right there's another auction for just the gc2 hardware and at 4100 right now. What do u think a good price for just the gc2 is? That would be better, Then I'd get software from foresight directly.

That's about $1500 less than you can get a brand new one Foresight. You would have to decide if new with warranty plus technical support is worth that to you. Every person is different.

If it will cost people that buy used an addnl $1,500 for the new software, then why not buy new?

I would never consider buying a used anything for only like 10-15% off of new. That's a huge risk for a small savings. Would you buy a 3 year old $50000 car for $45000? Imagine not knowing the mileage. Spend the money and you'll only regret it once.

I was asking where people are getting the unit for $6k, new. I see them listed at almost $9k. I'd definitely be interested in a new unit if I could get one closer to the prices people are suggesting here.

I think the $6k pricing excludes the software.

Tough question to answer without knowing what part of the world you are in. In Colorado, SES has good prices and they don't charge tax. The rest depends on negotiation.

Bought a used Gc2 for $3500. It was used about 10 times and still had warranty. The seller sent it too me before I had to make payment, didn't have to even use ebay or PayPal. Don't u know that a used car can depreciate $5000-10000 the moment u drive it off the lot! Good luck with that philosophy. If money is no object, just buy the Gc2 and HMT directly from foresight.
