Ping Fitting Question
Went to a Ping demo day and tried out the new I25s and S55s. Really liked the S55s, but I think the fitter gave me bad advice at the end. The set-up I hit was a blue color with a +1.5 inch shaft. This felt great. When I finished, the fitter stated that i would need to order the white "dot" with a +1.5 inch shaft. I think he got confused and thought that I was only hitting a standard length shaft. Suggestions? What am I supposed to order to get the actual set-up that I hit?

If your not sure I would get refitted.there are lots of good fitters that sell ping clubs in Ottawa. Most of them will wave any charges if you purchase the clubs.Pretty sure the ping rep from Montreal is at golf town every couple weeks and there are a couple guys there who are ping certified and many others places as well to get fitted properly.
Good luck

Did he have you hit balls off a lie board? If so and if the marks left on the sole of the clubs were off center that may be why he suggested so.
Look at the chart:
http://www.ping.com/uploadedfiles/cu...code_chart.pdf
Blue is .75 and white is 3 degrees upright.
The catch though is if you order white and have longer shafts the final lie angles will be different than what's on the chart due to the longer length.
Again this a not a true lie fitting but it's better than nothing at all.

I would find a Ping fitter and get a new fitting. Go early and get your swing grooved a little and be warmed up before the fitting. You are spending about $1k and so I would prefer to know for sure than guess, plus you will always be wondering if the other was better. I have been fitted at least six or seven times now and it is reassuring when each time they tell me that my set-up is right. If they are ever wrong though, I know that Ping will rebend the clubs and recolour the clubs to your specifications (if you can get to their factory in AZ, they will not charge you for doing this and just have you wait about an hour - great service).

Perhaps the confusion with the colors was a blue dot for shaft and white for grip.

Thanks for the advice.
I am going to call ping directly, and then most likely get refitted if I am not comfortable.
