Tomukas1 I'm guessing it's going to cost minimum $3000-$5000 so I wouldn't wait. It would still be low cost compared to others, just not really low.

Speculation can last for years and never come to fruition. Day and place of announcement or else it's like waiting for GSA lol

And there they are: http://www.foresightsports.com/en/catalog/hardware
At this point, I think there will be no lower prices…
Stop the press!!! -With their new FSX-software they might be able to lower price from software side. Too bad, I might be dreaming.Last edited by alpobas; 01-12-2014 at 12:40 PM.

So the GC2T is basically a GC2 without the LCD display and no HMT capability. Also looks like it's in a more "rugged" enclosure so no need for a protective shield.
Not bad if it works exactly the way a GC2 works as far as accuracy goes. If there isn't much of a discount, I would rather go GC2 as I would want to have HMT capability down the road.

I wonder if it will integrate with the Protee/GC2 play on line software?

I really like the idea of the GC2-T but it would have to be at a real discount. I am a high handicapper and really want/need club data (HMT) as well as ball data.

Has anyone enquired about a price for the GC2-T from Foresight Sports?

I emailed Foresight yesterday this is their reply.
"The NEW GC2-T will be launched in April (hopefully sooner). MSRP $6,495.00. Your cost $6,200.00!
It's the same technology, just no LCD screen or battery. In my opinion, it's a cleaner look for the indoor application"
I was hoping for a lower price.
Here are the prices they quoted in July for the GC2-A.
"MSRP for the GC2-A is $6,690.00. MSRP for the HMT is $6,490.00. MSRP for the Software Simulation is $2,190.00."
Not much of a price break.

Gonna guess no battery means no taking it to the range. I was still expecting Bluetooth to an iPad to get the readings. I guess not.
This is targeted towards simulator rooms and I would think golf stores that don't require hmt (golfsmith).

Honestly this is insulting. It is. Who do these guys think they are? What do you estimate they make per unit? 500% markup? Lets not even talk about how much they have been charging for RC software. They are free to do what they want, but I hope someone puts them out of business in the next 5 years.

Not sure what you guys expected. Trust me, there will be other options!

Can't wait to see what you are teasing us with! I hope the anticipated realease will be at the PGA show, I've got money burning a hole in my pocket!
Although we don't have snow here to justify setting up a golf sim, we've got the other extreme, 44.5C (111 F) today.Last edited by Crusty; 01-15-2014 at 10:23 PM.

This is one of the reasons why I just splurged and got the GC2 with HMT. The GC2's accuracy and indoor abilities are unrivaled right now as a portable launch monitor. The HMT has its share of issues and occasionally gives me some real crooked numbers. But when its working it works well and gives accurate info (and it's fantastic for working on your driver).
I guess if a new cheaper model comes out I will say "why didn't I wait". But then while everyone is waiting, I am at least practicing.
I always wondered if I should have went with a Flightscope X2, but my space is really confined in my garage so I don't think it would have worked. The GC2 works great.

Yes FS probably doesn't do sim, didn't even think of that. You can also wait for a used one which I tried to do, but I just got tired of waiting. It's a big nut to swallow, but once you pass that it's worth having. Now the big question will be do I get the new FSX software.
I have redchain and I finally got a couple courses for it last month. If the new software is totally independent from the previous offerings and you can't "move" your courses over, this will likely be a pass as I probably won't want to be tooling around switching programs depending on what course I want to play. They would have to basically give it away price wise as an upgrade price.

Check out the proteeonline software for the GC2, I think that's what I will do. Lots of online games going on and it looks like fun.
