Outdoor Marquee/Gazebo as a hitting room?
Hi,
Has anyone tried setting up their simulator in one of those garden Marquee/Gazebo tents that you can get. Are they big enough to take a full swing in (ideally with a driver)? Do they keep out enough light to be able to use infra-red based systems (e.g Optishot/P3Pro)? If so, please could you let me know what size Tent is needed and possibly post a link to which product you are using. I don't have the indoor space available and was wondering if this may be a valid option for using either an Optishot or P3Pro effectively outside?
Many Thanks
Andy.

Hi Andy, There was a post here somewhere where a guy put up a portable room on his apartment roof. It might have been in the Show us your Sim thread. I'll try to find it...

Hi Andy, The roof top sim is in the "Please post your Simulator Setup Pictures" thread, post #216. Looks like a great setup.

The problem with the pop up gazeebos is lack of height. The roof has a frame in them. Cam I suggest some 3 ft leg extenders and longer walls.

Thanks CPA & Crusty for your replies. I am guessing that 3 Meters height for club clearance is required. Is that enough? I am still unsure about how much light needs to be omitted though. I read that P3Pro can be used outside as long as it is in full shade but that Optishot requires special lighting. Is this the case? If so, would it just be sufficient to use some sort of shade to cast a shadow over the P3Pro unit to enable it to operate correctly/accurately?
Many Thanks
Andy.

To be safe I would say 3.2m. Tall mates....
You could line inside with blackout curtain.
