Scotty serial number

Can anyone tell me if Scotty Cameron putters have serial numbers? Specifically a Newport model.

If you mean the one you're selling, no. That's a Gun Blue Newport and serial numbers didn't come in until a while after those came out. I think brand wide serial numbering started with the Circa 62 line of a few years back. In that case serial numbers were etched on the shaft. I believe since then, serial numbers are found on stickers on the shaft near the grip. Mil Specs, part of the Pro Platinum line from 10ish years ago, are the only putters that had serial numbers on their heads (back of the hosel). But even then, it was only if they'd been custom ordered.

Thanks buddy. I was getting flack from some "expert" on Kijiji telling me that it is a fake cause i cant find the serial number and did not know what model Newport it is.

Happy to help Marc. I have never even heard of a counterfeit Gun Blue newport like yours. I don't think they started counterfeiting putters until the Studio Style line? That's about 10 years after yours was made.
