Hence the pretty strong shaking here. It was much stronger than the last one a few years ago. Aftershock was even pretty noticeable.

According to the us geological survey, the epicentre was actually between Ladysmith, PQ and Otter Lake, PQ, about 25 kms north of Shawville.

5.2 magnitude? really? that is pretty strong for this area I would think.
Obviously you're not a golfer.

I'll qualify this with the fact that I work in an office with 8 women (9 of us in this branch in total)... but there was some very real fear and panic in the building, tears even. I calmed everyone down, but everyone was standing in doorways almost immediately.
My desk chair (with the 215lb Sakuraba sitting in it) got air. I've never felt one like that before.
I have a client who has already called in to report that their chimney collapsed onto their roof.

Shawville, Jeff. The nexus of the universe. See my location in my bio. In french "Shaw" sounds like "Chat" which means "cat" and "Ville" translates to "town" so Shawville=Cattown.

Living across the road from Greensmere, there was some mild shaking for about 10 seconds, and a little more during the aftershock. Certainly a lot less than the one we had a couple of years ago.
