KBS vs Project X
I plan on reshafting my irons but I was wondering if any of you had some experience with those 2 shafts. I'm looking for a low to medium trajectory.
Will I learn how to chip?

I have a set of KBS tour stiff shafts in the Mizuno jpx 800 pros. I never had a high or balooning ball flight at all prior but it certainly has kept it pretty low with a good bit of spin on the greens despite the lower trajectory. No experience on the project X's unfortunately.

KBS are a higher launching, higher spinning shaft. Just all depends on your playability level swing speed etc. Projext X would definitely flight the ball much much lower. If you go with "flighted" project X shafts they are made to launch the "lower" that being 4-5-6 irons higher and the mid to high irons lower.

Hi there:
Are your choices limited to only PX or KBS Tour? If not, here's something else to consider - the KBS C-Taper. I've had PX, and KBS Tour (parallel) in my own sets, for ME I prefer the KBS Tour. The C-Tapers will definitely reduce spin a teeny bit, and lower the trajectory a bit too compared to the Tour shaft. Not only that, but you can get the CT's in some funky customized colors too. Just a thought.

What's the price on KBS and Project X shafts going these days in steel for irons? Anyone know?

I play PX 6.0's and I tried a set yesterday with the KBS C-tapers Stiff and they feel much better. I wasn't able to do a side by side test to see launch and spin numbers but I was amazed at how stable they were with so much feel. Next set will be C-tapers.

I have played DGX100's for as long as I can remember but made the switch about a month ago to a set of C Tapers in X for my 712mb's and they are absolutely incredible shafts.
They are touted as being lower launch than the X100's but I haven't found that at all, in fact they seem to really bore through any wind on a nice high trajectory but the spin at least for me seems to be way lower, the ball is moving left to right a bit less and my wedges aren't spinning like crazy off of greens.
The feel is 10x better than the X100's in my opinion too.

I should also mention I have gained a club to a club and a half distance on my irons, they are flying absolutely ridiculous lengths with these shafts in them.

The C-Tapers sound awesome. How much do they go for each?

I have used KBS for the last 3 seasons and they felt great the first time I hit them. The feel is outstanding and that is really important to me. I really did not enjoy the PX shafts, I really wanted to when I saw the ball flight of those shafts but man I did not like the feel at all
