eQuinelle recently held a launch event for the regions first Town and Country Community at eQuinelle. The announcement outlined the exciting new design and layout for an entire lifestyle package which will give residents the option to spend much more time closer to home and enjoy the aspects of country living that they love.

A new clubhouse, residents club, bicycle paths, exercise stations, walking trails, picnic and birdwatching areas, and their very own medical facility are all features that residents of Equinelle will enjoy.

The residents were given a preview of this during the summer. I attended. The plan is impressive. What I have liked is that they have involved the residents in what we thought would be priorities for the community. My strong sense is that they are modelling this community after several others that I have seen in the US. (perhaps there are some in Canada I'm just not aware of them). All of them retirement or pre-retirement type communities. Note the lack of kids in any of the videos or promotional material.

Anyway all good so far... and construction continues like crazy out here.

If I could convince my wife to extend the cord, I would be taking a serious look at moving out there and hoping on this boom.

Well Quinner, if it helps when I moved from Barrhaven out to Kemptville my property taxes were pretty much cut in half for the same sized property. The growth is not just Equinelle there are lots of homes going up out here. Though EQ is certainly building their fair share. Lots of infrastructure and construction roads went in late fall and early winter around the course to put in more homes.
