Simulator Software Screen Shots
Hey All,
I have been trying to post this for a little bit. Using one computer with a GTX570 graphics card, I took some screen shots of 4 different software packages at different positions on Belfry Hole 1.
E6-FS: E6 Software with Flightscope TBox
GPS-SportsCoach: GPS Software with Sports Coach HSC
RedChain-FSS: Red Chain Software with Foresight Sports GC2
RedChain-ProTee: Red Chain Software with ProTee ELA
These are all at 1280 x 720 resolution. I hope to do this again in true 1920 x 1080p resolution, but it may be a little bit still.
Anyways, let's start off with the screen shots from the tee:

Looks like the forum software has lowered the resolution on all of these screen shots. If anyone wants the original size, email me at cory@par2pro.com.

Thanks Cory.
Well SportsCoach sucks. E6 is in a league of it its own. Why would the Foresight version look better (brighter) than the ProTee version?

psace I'm not convinced that E6 is better than protee/Fss. But yes Sportscoach was the standout dud.
FSS probably put the default brightness up

Don't let the down-res'd screen shots fool you. The best way to see the differences is on a big screen at 1080p with max detail and draw turned on.

looking at the real hole the E6 fairway looks pretty narrow?

Yes CPA that's the hole.
While the screen shots I posted are meant for a quick comparison, Zmax's point that they look different on a big screen at 1080p is very true. Hopefully I can come up with somthing that better shows the visuals.
Zmax - do you have any pictures of what you tested so we can see what you saw?

Yes CPA, I didn't mean E6 was better just a totally different software. But I have noticed in other pics on other websites that the Red Chain software looked brighter (clearer) on the Foresight simulator.

Cory, any chance of a screen shot or two of the new GC2 course software as I see that Red Chain is no longer being bundled with it?

Am I the only one who thinks the screenshot looks better on the Foresight sim? Maybe I need an eye checkup?

You're right psace. The Foresight screenshots do look brighter or appear to have more contrast than the Protee's. I believe there is a way to change the brightness and contrast in Red Chain. I'll ask Protee.

I was going to say Zmax I think it is just the settings.
FSS has a screen for this from memory. It is not as if Fss have changed anything in redchain to do better graphics...... or is that why they charge so much?

I remember that P3pro's Red Chain courses have a screen for changing brightness and contrast. Protee doesn't have a screen for this but I'm sure it can be done.
FFS charge so much because they can...Last edited by ZMax; 10-16-2012 at 07:59 AM.

a quick way is via the projector ~ the GT750 e has a button you can press for game/presentation/etc which changes the brightness and colors, game is the bright colors and high contrast from memory

As CPA says you can just make the projector brighter. Protee might have dropped down the graphics cars brightness due to some of the red chain course has way to bright light green fairways.
I kind of prefer less brightness as you can better see details in the landscape.

1. I have not received the new course software yet (and it has not shipped yet). But I will post some shots and a review once it does get here
2. Where did you see that Red Chain is no longer being bundled with it? We currently sell both software packages:
http://www.par2pro.com/shop/index.php?cPath=23_50_60
They have divided the two up as "Performance Software" and "Entertainment Software". The Performance Software comes with the club fitting software. I am anxious to see the new software.
Cheers,
Cory

1. Unfortunately I don't have the new courses yet, but I will post screen shots and a review as soon as I do (FSS has not shipped it yet, so it may be a little bit still).
2. Where did you see that the RC software is no longer being bundled with it? We still offer both the "Performance Software" (RC) and the "Entertainment Software" (CG3):

1. Fantastic, I shall look forward to your shots/review
2. My bad. I could only see the new packages when I perused your site. I obviously wasn't looking very hard, lol.
