NHL Playoffs
For all you Ottawa folks out there who go to ScotiaBank Place and cheer for the Leafs and/or Les Habs - one question: who is in the playoffs ?

If you think it's hard to meet new people, try picking up the wrong golf ball.

Philly are just being a bunch of babies. You really expect to crosscheck Sid from behind with no payback? And to complain about a clean hit after Briere spears a guy in the groin.......please! Should be a great series.

not sure about the rest of you but I have been glued to the t.v for the Pitt - Philly games. I really admire Philly's no quit attitude , Giroux is a beast and if Bryz gets the yahoos out of his brain they could go far. I like Pitt but there defence is shaky , far too many high risk plays on the back end. It ain't over till it's over but loosing 2 home games after you had 3-0 & 3-1 leads means some serious readjusting prior to game 3.

Glad to see the response from the Sens in the first period , gotta admire Carkner & Knopka for their roles on the team , now if someone could handcuff Callaghan ....

Is it fair to say that Shanahan has failed at disciplining players? Every night is headshot night in the NHL now. Players have no respect for each other.

Carkner is quite the guy...one fight and he put a price on Alfie's head and the Rangers collected!!

That tone was set with Tortarella's game plan of "lets punch their best player in the head six times and rough him up at every oppertunity and put him off his game" , Carkner did what he had to do , That POS ,with his cheap head shot ,will get a big suspension or retribution for Alfie will come game 3 & 4 home in Ottawa , Shanaghan better get this one right , or its gonna be real ugly from here on in .

It was horrible watching game 1 and the way they were just punching karlsson's head for no reason. I love fighting and aggressive play but after the play scrums are so stupid. If they want to allow those types of things then I'm all for what Carkner did last night. What a win. We played so badly! Turn overs, horrible passes, and Spezza was horrible... but we won! In the past we had an all star team and if we played badly we lost! I love this team!

almost every series is mean spirited , alot of hate going on. Have seen more scraps 3 games into the playoffs this year than I have seen the past 3 yrs combined.

Every team so far has been dirty and to be honest, the NHL looks like a joke so far. In what sport do they ignore all rules after a whistle? In my opinion, all the scrums and facewashing and headlocks etc after the whistles ruin the games.
Karlson is a target for the Rangers, but Karlson is no angel... with 2 slewfoots and a few slashes to the back of peope legs, he deserves what he gets.
Konopkas headlock take down of Richards was brutal and dangerous!
Why can't the refs call penalties? Why does the league allow things to escalate to the point it becomes a joke?
When the whistle goes, players have to stop !!! If they don't, its a penalty!
I have lost interest in the playoffs and it is only the first round...
If it means 10 guys in the box, big deal.
