An Observation...
Or more to the effect of how unobservant some are.
As most of you know, I post on a few sites when I'm in need of satisfying my urge to try something new. So I post an ad looking for wedges. I get maybe three replies for the 3-5 days that the ad has been posted. Well yesterday I found a great deal on wedges so I post last night I've found some and thanks to those that replied. I then lock the thread. To my surprise, when I logged in this morning I had 4 new PMs with offers for wedges. What gives???? Am I the only one that reads entire ads before sending a PM? I could understand the PMs if I had stated I was still looking, but I posted I had found some. Gave me a good chuckle to start my morning."A life lived in fear of the new and the untried is not a life lived to its fullest." M.Pare 10/09/08

I enjoy seeing people respond to classified ads that are 3-4 years old.
My name is Paul. And I'm a golfaholic.

they just figure in a week or so you'll be bored of those wedges and know you'll be looking for some more
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

I think most of us learned the hard way over the years , through trial and error and being observant
however it might be a good idea to post some recommended 'do's and dont's' for new users
i.e
if your responding to a classified send a pm
low ball offers are frowned upon , most of the guys selling are posting at a decent price already
if you post and someone pm's you have the courtesy to at least respond ( no thanks ) if not interested
I am sure there are otherswho could add some pointers

I guess that most guys who do this are newcomers to the forum.Or they might be like me and suffer senior moments once in a while.
Good thing you are a good natured well balanced guy and laugh at this, right ?

I have a set of Taylormade Y-cutters TPs (52,56,60), and I'm looking to try something else. Let me know if you're interested.
