10 steps to better sand shots

If you want to see what fear looks like, check out a high handicap golfer as he walks up to a green and figures out his ball has ended up in a bunker.

I had a good score go in the toilet last week at Ile Perrot due to hard pan sand, went from a potential low 80's score to a 90 because I was unable to make a sand shot. Three 6's on par 3's and another triple on a par 4 ( green side in 2) !! All a result of hitting out of sand traps that were like hitting off a cart path. I am normally half decent with sand shots but I kept making the fatal mistake of using my 56 and just kept blading the ball beacuse there was zero bounce. I have since figured out it is an entirley different shot than when in a normal condition sand trap.
Kinda hard to figure out why the course would go this route with their traps , it is a very nice high end course and there are lots of traps especially on the par3's. The rest of the course was immaculate

I'd like to see how the pros would handle that type of sand instead of the perfect fluffy bunkers they get every week.

You just need to be a little more aggressive on your thru swing and alter the amount of bounce you go into the sand with. Don't look for the high soft shot, play it like Freddy and basically chunk it out.
