new kid on the block
Hello Ottawa!
I found out about this webpage today through a google search and immediately i knew it was going to be my church, bible and sanctuary all rolled into one!
My Profile:
31 years of age.
currently shoots 90-95
I dont play with mulligans, gimmes, or stuff like that.
I play once a week, only because of budget reasons!
I always share a half cart with my partner, but i am open to walking
I alternate between Meadows and Greensmere, but i am open to Hunt Club and Cedar hill
My clubs are crappy $300 Wilson Ultras from walmart. But hey, they're an improvement over the Nancy Lopez clubs a friend lent me last year. That was embarassing.
Grading Myself
A Etiquette (the best part of my game!)
A- Dress code (i dont tuck in my shirt cuz then i'll look like my dad)
B+ Tee off (i have some bugs to work out, ahem, that reoccuring slice)
B- Irons (getting better)
C Putting (weakest part of my game, i hate 3 putts!)
A Speed of play (I prefer an uptempo game so people behind aren't waiting on me)
From what i've seen so far on the website, the ladder match play seems like a lot of fun. I'd rather play against someone who cleans my clock than play against someone weaker than me. You learn more from a loss than from a win.
I look forward to learning a lot from golf addicts here.

Welcome to the site. You'll meet lots of keen golfers here. You shouldn't have any trouble arranging a game either. One way to facilitate that is to sign up for some of the events early in the year. It will give you a chance to make new friends and find out who's who.

Swerve and I were talking about this post in Belleville. He thought it was some kind of practical joke. Hard to believe it's only been a year and a half since I joined the OG institution for golf addicts. 3,180 posts! Not too shabby. My scores are much better now (83 avg), 7.4 cap. Putting is still the most inconsistent part of my game. I was dreaming of Hunt back then and my dreams came true. Just shows that it never hurts to dream big!

posting just to post... I can't believe I even looked at this when I saw the title - I never surf the Intro section. Congrats again on a very productive year and half (of posts and game improvement)
