    Smugglers for Fathers day.

I am taking my dad to Smugglers glen today for a fathers day round. Not a bad deal for that coarse. $60 after 2pm including power cart. Never played there before but everyone I talked too says its one of the best in the area.

Lots of elevated tee shots where you can see the entire layout of the hole; the first hole is a scary tee shot from the back.
You only get out of something what you put into it

Well smugglers kicked the crap out of me today, the distances are deceiving but what a beautiful coarse. I was surprised how dead it was for fathers day. We tee'd off at 5pm and there was no one behind us or ahead of us. The greens are incredibly fast, I never got use to the speed of the greens. I would totally recommend the coarse and make sure you get a power cart, not an easy walk. We took a power cart and got tired watching some people hike up and down the cart paths.

Idid not realize that you were allowed to walk the course. It must be afternoon only.

I believe they allow walking in twilight only. No matter, I wouldn't walk that course if you paid me, way too many severe slopes to climb and descend. I've seen some people walk it at the Spring Shootout a month ago, they did not looks like they were enjoying it much.

It wasnt very busy, maybe when its slow if someone wants to walk they let them. Either way anytime I go there I am getting a cart.
