I am not saying this because I bought one, but I had a Sun Ice and found that when we went over to Ireland and Scotland they did not hold up to the brutal November conditions that Zero Restrictions did. It is a very expensive product, but most are goretex and they are designed for golfers. They have pockets in the right places, the pants have pockets with zippers inside to access your pants or shorts. This product is an incredible product that kept me warm and dry in 45mph winds at Ballybunion...no exaggeration.
ps I am selling a large suit!

I bought this Footjoy jacket last night, not goretex but a good deal.

They are letting them go for $140, instead of the advertised price of $160. You just have to ask for their best price.Obviously you're not a golfer.

The good news is I just bought a Galvin Green jacket which will keep me warm and dry in the rain/cold. The bad news is I'm going to be eating Raman noodles for the next month.

The best protection against rain in my opinion is not to play in it.

I play on the days with possibility of rain. I have a monk for my bag, an umbrella for myself, pants and a three quarter rain shirt. There's plenty of good stuff out there. Personally I can't wear a long sleeve jacket playing golf....just doesn't work. I have a FJ three quarter top layer that keeps me nice and dry.... three quarters of the way down my arms anyway.

Yep, 3/4 works well on warm days. I've played most of last season in one of those, but I had to reconsider after getting drenched in a surprise rain storm on a cool day and getting a pretty bad cold as a result.
