Tiger is back
He seems to be back to his old habits. He hit a few fantastic shots today that reminded me of the Tiger of old. Hope he does well this weekend.Actually,I hope he wins. Its better for the game when he is in the hunt.

I have never really liked Tiger, but I admit, I would love to see him win this thing.

We will probably have to wait until Sunday to see if he is really back. Today's round reminded me of the tournament he won about ten years ago ---he looked absolutely drained after the last putt. His game today is really two----one a head game and the other the actual game of golf itself. As Marcos says the game of golf is better with him in it----all you had to do was watch the gallery. It's going to be an exciting week-end---I know of two young guns who won't be sleeping too soundly tonight
Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

What impressed me the most was the fact that, for the most part, he swung within himself. When he does that he hits quality shots. If he can keep doing that and maintains his composure, the rest of the field will have their hands full. Seven under in 11 holes. Impressive.

That shot he hit from the right rough and aimed way left and got it to 10 feet was amazing, I don't remember which hole it was on.
Obviously you're not a golfer.

mpare, that's the one, great shot. I am actually wanting to see Tiger play well and win the masters. Ryan Moore and Poulter just aren't going to do it this year.
Obviously you're not a golfer.

Mmmmmm looks like he's losing his momentum with that short missed par putt and a bad double cross into 13!

What a day... I'm exhausted just from watching!
I can't believe Tiger didn't snap that putter over his knee walking off 18. I can't think of another time he missed that many <3ft putts. Time to go back to the SC, or at least his comfortable blade style putter.
I'm interested to see if anyone analyzes Tigers swing from Saturday afternoon and Sunday to see if he was hitting the ball well because he fell back to his old swing, something he was more comfortable in. I didn't see him doing rehearsal swings nearly as much today as in the past.

For me, all that would have been required to make it the best was for someone I was really cheering for (Mickelson / Els / Couples) to have been in the mix till the end.
Of course, my most important criteria for a good Masters tournament was met when Jason Day's final putt dropped into the hole.

I was sincerely pulling for Tiger to win. The conventional wisdom will make him a favorite in the U.S. Open, based on his strong 4th round here. But my opinion is that Tiger has won his last major.

I think Tiger can win again and I think he will win a Major again if he can learn to putt again.
Obviously you're not a golfer.

Tiger will be back at the top, it's just a matter of time. He is starting to get the same intensity he once had and after tasting the lead he will definitely want a win now more than ever. He missed putts, but not by a lot.. His putting is coming back and his ability to be creative is still there, he just needs a little more consitency.
Plus, he loves a challenge and always wants to be the guy in the tough position so with broadcasters doubting him and what not, they are actually pumping him up IMO.
Great Masters overall! Really feel for Rory though.. Tough to watch.Just another lefty....

Tigers putts were bad reads and too much speed. Stroke actually looked OK. Take away half of his <5' misses over the tournament and he wins.

For once I agree with you on a Tiger comment. Tiger's invincibility on the greens is gone, but his 5' putts still grab headlines, just a different kind.
It was definitely the flatstick that won this tourny on Sunday afternoon. If I recall correctly KJ missed a pile of putts on the back nine that could have put him in the hunt, and I don't recall Cabrerra scorching the greens out there either.Let's put a Smile on that Face!

I guess everyone tee'd off in the afternoon on Sunday, but I meant coming down the stretch when there were 10 or so guys sharing the lead or one back.
Sure, he put himself in position early with a few lucky shots, but some clutch putting on 15, 16, and 17 put him right where he needed to be coming home.Let's put a Smile on that Face!
