Next Gen Optishot?
Interesting...not sure if it's a full new version of the hardware or just some software tweaks:

Great for the dd users. We will know very soon as the PGA show is around the corner. I suspect software changes, however hardware add ons would be great.

Hopefully this will be a great improvement of the Optishot - anything that's kicks competition into gear between Dancin Dogg and P3P will benefit the customer.

Halleluiah!! Maybe launch angle add on? New turf would be great as well as improved graphics.
Played Whispering Dunes last night for the first time. Great graphics and playability.

Hey! psace! You stopped in! Nice to hear from you, and I'm sure the potential for some sort of add-on or improvement for DD has re-piqued your interest in things!

Hey, RDH. Hard to stay away from here. I have been loyal to DD hoping they will keep improving their sim.

Thanks Bubba, all is well. My shoulder is better now so I have started playing dd again. I see you are planning on moving up the sim ladder again. Make sure it has everything you wish for first. I guess that is why I am still at the bottom cause I wish for too much!

Thanks for the advice Psace. Good that your shoulder is better. I really hope that the dd will add something nice in the next upgrade. if it is launch or a ball cam of some sort I will be extremily happy. Either way dd has really brought home golf simulation to us average Joe's. Kudos to the company.

I doubt it will be a new sim. Most likely software upgrades.

I just called Dancin Dog. All the additions are software and will be free to the end user. They are having new courses, better graphics, shot tracking, statistics tracking, new interface in the upper left hand corner for swing path, etc...
Sounds like some cool stuff.

Looking forward to upgrades but was hoping for some hardware upgrades, at least new turf. I have asked several times for shot statistics so this will help.

Here is a link to the upcoming upgrades... http://www.dancindogg.com/optishot-press-kit/
It looks to me like the new course is called Canadian Club, any guesses based on the pic?
The improved tree graphics will be a nice addition as will the club head display.
Can't wait for the upgrade, I believe it will be available by the end of the month.

New tree engine - very nice! Graphically, that was always my only real gripe with 3DD. With good-looking trees, it will be a truly great piece of software!

I've been lurking, figured I would post some information that I found!! Haven't been using the DD too often, I'm finishing the rest of the basement...
I ordered the replacement grass from Cory (Custom Design Golf turf) it is not much thicker (cushioned) than the DD stuff, I hope it holds up, it's not cheap!

I look forward to Banff. I do hope there is more swing information and that the trees will penalize us more (same problem as p3pro).

I'm sure that's not a software flaw - you must just generate a heck of a lot of ball speed!
