Montreal - Washington
This 6th game was one of the most exciting games that I've seen for a very long time. I admit to being a long time (since 1962) Habs fan, but this was special. The Capitals' players were bigger and faster, but the Canadiens didn't seem to know that. They played with heart, supported by the spectacular goaltending of Halak. A hell of a game.

Agreed. Halak stole that one for them. Again. He's pretty good! Not a Hab's fan, but, that guy is sure fun to watch when he gets hot.

That game was freakin awesome! That was the most excited I've been these playoffs other than at the Sens games. Wicked!!

The game really reminded me of 1986 when Roy came of age. Halak seems to have a growing aura about him. Game 7 could be even better. The Habs have become a team in this series, and Gill has played brilliantly.
My paycheck goes to my dogs.

1 more win Mike... that would be one huge upset. In a game 7, a goalie could steal a game... like tonight. Can the Capitals play better next game... That should be fun!

That was the most exiting game ever. I’m a huge Habs fan and I think that they will win game 7. The pressure is on the Caps big time. You could feel the stress from the caps yesterday.
BTW, Mike Cammalleri is the best move Bob made during his 6 year stretch. This kid is great. Love to watch him.
GO HABS GO!!!!!!Strive for perfection, but never expect it!

BTW, if the Wings win tonight and the Habs win tomorrow, 4 of the original 6 teams will advance to the second round. Nice to see.

I can't believe what i'm seeing. Montreal leading Washington halfway through the game 1-0. Habs defense is blocking all the shots and Halak is doing his Gandalf impersonation. "You Shall Not Pass!"

Now what are the Habs/Pens predictions? As a Penguins fan, I am a tiny bit scared now.

Not even close, man, don't sweat it. The Habs have two or three skilled players. The Pens will put the pucks in the net that the Caps couldn't...bottom line, Montreal got their bacon saved by Halak and nothing short of another Roy-like performance will keep their hopes alive.
I wouldn't bet on something like that happening again, not with a guy that wasn't even the starter for all of the games. There's got to be a reason for that.

I'm pretty sure you would have bet he wouldn't do it against Washington either
I've been a huge Halak fan for years. He's always done the job whenever called upon. The ONLY reason he has been bypassed in favour of Price is because of pedigree.
Halak is a very good technical goaltender. Not flashy, but solid. Several times over the past few years he has won the No. 1 job and then one bad game and Price is back in the Canadiens net. Everyone has a bad game now and then... you have to stick with a good goalie!
Hopefully after this performance the Habs coaching staff and management will finally see the lightThe opinions expressed in this post are mine and may not necessarily reflect the opinions of others on OG.

What a nail biter at the end though. I thought they were in trouble with the penalty... I am looking forward to the Pens series.
Halak is nuts... Enough said
Go Habs!

I can't believe RDS, with about 3 minutes left in the game they announce that the Habs and Pens will play their first game Friday night... talk about jinx... about 30 seconds later washington scores their first (and only) goal....
But in the end....If you think it's hard to meet new people, try picking up the wrong golf ball.
