How will Tiger do at the Masters?
Saw this on Golf Channel, thought it would be a good poll here. Personally I think he's probably in the "make the cut, not contend" bracket. I don't think Augusta fits his game anymore, and with the layoff he'll be too rusty to contend.

I think he will make the cut and finish T20 but not contend..tough to call though because although he will be no doubtedly tournament rusty, he is just so mentally tough.

Why do you think Augusta doesn't fit his game anymore? I wouldn't say he'll be rusty, his game will still be sharp from practice rounds and range time. When speaking about a guy who has 70+ pga wins and 14 majors I don't think being "rusty" would be the reason for poor play if it does occur, besides its not like he doesn't know the course.

Where's the "I don't care" option?

All the changes at Augusta have really penalized his lack of accuracy off the tee. It makes it hard for him to win there because it's a second shot course and unless he hits it well off the tee he has a tough time hitting the spots on the green where he has a shot at birdie. He finished 6th last year and was never in it, and a deceptive 2nd in 08 well behind Immelman. He finished 2nd in 07 as well, but had the lead and lost it on Sunday when Johnson won. His last great run there was 06 when Mickelson won when Tiger couldn't get any putts to drop. I'm sure he'll win again there someday, but I don't think it will be this year. Even if he hits it great off the tee, will his putting be as sharp as it needs to be considering the layoff? I doubt it.

Really do not know where he will finish but one thing I can absolutely guarantee...
HE believes he will win!!! Or he would not be there!!!
Another thing I think even his naysayers will agree with.... His will is a pretty strong part of his game, not to mention his power of concentration!!
My guess is final 4 groups on Sunday.

I think he will have something to prove and will finish in the top 10, unfortunately.
I was hoping we might have at least one major with relatively calm this year, I guess not.

Assuming he plays, then I suspect that he'll make the cut and finish in the top 10. Winning is unlikely. There is just too much difference between practicing and being tournament sharp. If he wins, then good for him. He's even a more remarkable player than I already give him credit for.

I was correct in predicting he'd return for the Masters, so let's see if I can go 2 for 2.
He'll not be game ready for a major. Despite his ability to focus he'll have to be somewhat distracted by the inevitable circus which will likely include heckling. Something new for him. I voted he'll make the cut, but won't be in the top 10.Life dinnae come wit gimmies so yuv got nae chance o' gitt'n any from me.

I may be overly optimistic with this one... but seeing as how he's working with a bunch of different coaches (swing, head, etc).. I like to think that he will perform much better than he did after coming back from his absence when his father died. I think he will be super focused. He knows that if he wins, he will shut up a lot of people and lower media attention.
Also, I haven't been particularly impressed with anyone's golf game so far (I'm talking to you Phil), so the field may keep themselves close to Tiger. I also wonder if his return will be a distraction to some of his competitors. There's enough pressure that comes with the Masters already; now they have to deal with the Tiger circus. No one handles pressure better than Tiger.
I am taking Tiger... for the win.Ambition is a poor excuse for not having enough sense to be lazy.

I say top 10. Should be interesting for sure.

I think he'll either win in impressive fashion (and that really will make a good masters) or he won't make the cut. It all depends on his state of mind. I voted for the cut, but he could surprise me.

I think he will make the cut but I don't think he will really contend. I see a repeat of last year...maybe some heroics on Sunday, but still coming up short but outside the top 10.

I'm going off the board with this one but I've got $10 that says he doesn't "hook up"

I'm hoping he wins. It would be the best way to start putting the sordid events of the past 4 months behind him. That, and it is good for golf to have him back.

I would be astounded if that happened. If it does, then the idiot looking for his/her 15 minutes of infamy is not likely to succeed in anything save being bounced unceremoniously from the grounds. Of course, TMZ may do a flash interview immediately after with the dunce, but that says more about TMZ and similar rags than it does about real journalism.
