Number of Hybrids in the Bag
Starting the year I am thinking of puting as many as three hybrids in the bag. I am wondering how many hybrids you have in your bag and what your handicap is. My index is about 0.2 and I was wondering if other low hadicappers are playing a lot of hybrids too. Thanks.

I carry a 3 and 4 hybrid. I may also swap in a 2H in place of the 4W on occasion.
I'm a 6.2 index. Not fat anymore. Need to get better at golf now!

I am a 13 hdcp.and not a fan of hybrids.Carry all fairway woods, but i am willing to try them out as other players have suggested they are easier to hit out of the rough than the woods.

I hover around 11 hdcp. I do not use hybrids... I prefer 7 & 9 woods....

Handicap: 3.2. Hybrids: at least one, and one or two more depending on the course, and conditions.

I carry one 21° Sonartec. 2 & 3 irons are a distant memory. IMO, the hybrid is the greatest innovation in golf in the last 20 years. Much more forgiving than the "butter knives", and way more versatile. I can use mine for pretty much anything from 190-225 yards, and for delicate plays around greens where the flat-stick won't fit.

I only carry one and it is 24*. The reason is that it gives me high launch and goes 200yrds, which is perfect for most par 3's at my course. As well, I like to use it to get out of rough or fairway bunkers as it has a wide sole which doesn't dig. I don't particularly have problems with my long irons but the hybrid just adds a bit more confidence. As I said I only carry one but have many that are interchangable should the conditions or the course I'm playing that day require less loft or further carry.

Im an 18 cap. Don't carry any hybrids. I normally play 4w, 3-pw, but I'd really like to find a 2 iron that I could hit nice and low.

Woods - 1,3+, 4, 7
Irons - 5 to 9
Wedges - 4
Putter - 1
May go 1W,3+,5W this season and add a 3 or 4 iron, or remove a wedge and add the other long iron or the 7W. The configuration will change depending on what the tournament course requires. I need a long iron to hit a low shot out of trees.
Have tried a number of hybrids but still hit the FW woods straighter.

Softer on the hands on missed hits.
Higher ball flight.
Better sound.
For me not as many pushes on so so swings
Not so good in the rough if the ball is sitting up a bit. You have to swing accordingly otherwise you will hit a pop up fly with no distance.Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

I found the hybrids to be versatile around the green and in the rough. I know my game improved greatly when I switched to them, my longest iron is a 6.

Typically carry 2 hybrids - 2I and 3I. Currently a 9.5. The 2I is in place of the 5-7 wood slot although sometimes the 7w goes back in depending on course/conditions. The 3I hybrid replaces a regular 3I. When I am swinging well I sometimes throw the regular 3I back in especially if trouble is left as my hybrid miss tends to be left.
FWIW I play Wishon 321LI hybrids that are more like irons. I don't like the wood-like hybrids. I hit both long irons and fairway woods OK so the hybrids are not so much to "fix" a club trouble. Where I find a hybrid better than a regular long iron is a) goes through thick rough better and b) handy to putt-chip with around the green. Where I find the 2i hybrid better than the 7w is the lower ball flight. I hit my 7w high enough that on windy days I have a tough time getting it to end up where I want.I don't have an ulcer - I am just a carrier.

nah 3+ would be likely a 13* and a 4 would be like a 16* or likely a 17*
For myself i just took the 2 hybrids i had out of the bag cause they were iron-like, more suited for the Auzzie courses where they didn't have many front of green bunkers. I am hopin to put the new 7 and 9 woods in the bag, trusty old Titleist PT's! Currently playing off a 3.4 index

I have 0ne...a 23* to replace my 4i. My irons start with a 5i. I have a driver, 4W and 7W. I am a 24 Handicap and this set up seems to work for me so far although I don't find the hybrid as easy to hit as everyone seems to imply.

A 20 Handicapper.
I have three TM's #2, #3 & #5 but only have two (the 2&5) in my bag. My wifes cousin borrowed the 3 during a round last year and I haven't seen it since!
