Busy weekend ahead
Colby, I would cancel your round at Le Geant for Sunday if possible...I played there Saturday past.. Le Diable is in much nicer condition..played there on Sunday past. I found the difference in conditions very odd as these two courses are side by side..and run by the same resort....but worlds apart in terms of playing conditions.. patchy fairways (winter kill) for the most part and a couple bad greens at Le Geant, Le Diable is in mid-summer form.. I'd go there if you could get the tee time change...
When I say the conditions are bad at Le geant, I am comparing to their normal conditions...

Yah I agree.. changing 6 tee offs wouldn't be easy for sure!
Paid 80 Tax in at both courses last weekend ( carts incl. ) Yah, I like the layout of Le Geant too.. Couple more weeks and it should be back in tip top shape..
Have a great trip!
Signed,
Jealous

I just played two rounds at Chateau Cartier this morning and afternoon and found the fairways to be excellant overall.....the greens are really coming along....7 and 11 are being aerated today, the others were in quite good shape. By this summer I can see this course being fantastic!!

Tried CLOVERDALE Monday morning. Yes, the 2/1 before 11.am is still going.
Sunny & 20 (eventually)
What a treat, not a browned out spot on any green. Ater a couple of courses lately, this was as good as it gets.
Starting the day with back-to-back Birds was pretty nice too.
Stopping at Rideau Carleton for lunch & hitting a ROYAL on the 4th play was just the prefect ending to great Monday....

Interesting morning at Falcon Ridge today.
Arrived early & started at 7.00. Carrying & by myself, I caught up to the 1st two pairs who cheerfully let me thru, even the couple in a Cart.
Course is coming around beautifully with fast greens.
On #9, 195 3-par, I hit a nice 7-wood to the middle of the green. You can only see the pin from the tee. Found my ball 2" directly behind the pin. Easy bird but what do you do if you actually get an ACE playing by yourself?? Do you get credit or do you need a witness?
Woud I be or :cryin ??
Also, that funky #11 with the 3 (or 4) trees in the middle of the fairway landing area is now down to just the one big one on the right about 100 yards short of the pin. They chopped them out-of-there! Much more playable!!
Finished at 9.15 with an average score of 85. Could not believe I had got in a full 18 walking in two hours & a bit!! Tracey at the cash register was impressed too.
Great weekend to all!!

Played Canadian this morning. Good shape. Great greens. Got there early enough to avoid the incredible crowds.

I once went fishing by myself, and the fish was so big I could not get it in the boat to bring it home.

Played early at Champlain. Teed off at 6:15 and I was home at 9:30
Greens are FAR better than last time we were there 2 weeks ago. Still a little bit spotty in a few areas, but they have the pins in decent spots. Fairways are coming along more slowly, but are OK.

Upper Canada
Played Upper Canada yesterday and the course was in very good shape. Only the green on #12 was in rough shape but other than that I was very impressed!
If only those geese were potty trained..... :jitter
For those who have never played this course, you gotta try it! It's about 1 1/2 hours from downtown (in Morrisburg). I strongly recommend it.

Other than that, you don't get anything good for your money............chip

Played Meadows on the weekend and for 37$, you got a very decent course with greens that were in excellent shape (minus the ball marks), very receptive and fairways that were well maintained. Not bad at all for 37$.
As for the price of memberships, well that is something I won't discuss because I'm in no position to do so. But please support your opinions next time. Thanks man.nice_lag
